In Glory

Write upon my wrist
My story
Come to  Know
Impress upon my skin
Each worry
Let it go
Pull the bindings taut
My body
Make it bow
And so it all begins
In Glory
Help me Grow

To The Pain

I’m pain poor.
Come to me
In patterned possibility
Paths across my skin
That rip away civility
Again, again, again
Provoke, pursue, distil me
Reveal me more and then
Infuse the raw with clarity
Begin, begin, begin
Through this vessel
Calling you
Worthiness aside
Pain, pour through me
Please. Please
Come to me
Abide.

Musings on the Threads of Earth

I wonder
Where
The knot that holds
The threads of Earth
Together
Ends,
A bellybutton
Of sorts.
If we were to
Untie our knot
Would we unravel?
Would the strings
That keep our feet
Tethered
To the fabric of soil
Loosen?
Would the leaves be
Unstitched?
The waters
Disentangled?
Do you think
The Earth was sewn?
Or knitted?
Or crocheted?
Or,
With its patchwork
Of
Fields and cities
Embroideries
Of
Roads and rivers,
Quilted?
If
It were to unravel
What would we find?
The batting?
The answers?
Or great God
Laughing at
All
Our
Questions.

February's Poems

masterpieced

Sacred Silence bleeds like ink
inching out from spattered blots
black across the paper of my mind
moving over every crevice, slowly
saturating thirsty wrinkled parchment
presenting a still, acquitted form
for you, waiting, for You
to augment,
asking inspiration.
in technicolor brilliance, words bloom
bursting onto pages of thought in rich lines
licking pain across my skin
stunning colors steal the black
breaking silence, Sacred Snap
soaking my mind with vibrant hues
holding insight paramount
pinned beneath what is your pen,
until the still, acquitted me
measures into what you see;
masterpieced by You.

Allocations

the freedom from his permission
to slide hands o'er his skin
to relish the textures ‘neath fingertip
press my lips to warm flesh
lose myself in simple sensation
of skin on skin with soft sigh
of bliss

the allowance from his sanction
to seek his kiss
to be brought to utter capitulation
from mere brush of lip ‘gainst lip
share his breath moments before mouths
meet and know just how wholly i
am his

the liberation from his assent
to be at his feet
wrap myself around his leg
secure and safe, my head upon his knee
leave myself there as i part
where i most want
to be

beseeching

oh, give me something to do for you
to ease you, to aid you
limited reach that i have
service that i bring to you
my self is all that i am
may i help in some small way?

what difference can i make?
what of this can i take?
to ease you, to aid you
in giving for your sake
outstretched hands, pleading heart
i’m helpless in this state

please, give me something to do for you
sum your burdens from great to few
gather all and steal away
to ease you, to aid you
lift millstone from your neck
i’d gladly bear the weight

but you are there and i am here
and idle hands must wait, i fear
to know the joy of work for you
and comfort, hold you near
troubles, yours i cannot share
wait still, unfolded heart

Vanilla Chains

Tonight I cry for him
Slow tears in staggered moments
That come with the futility of being idle
As I sit in the corner of my mundane cage
Helpless to help him
Seeing his struggles
Knowing his hurt
And unable to reach
Streaked cheeks press against the bars of my prison
Though I strain toward him
I gain no brush on fingertip
I am trapped
Incarcerated
By these vanilla chains and rails
This bondage I like not.

Keeper

lead me with your firmest grip
teach me with strong mind
bend me with your steadfast will
guide me as I grow
place each step along the path
with your solid word
but when you Know me, Keeper, mine,
Know me with Your Soul

January's poems

Ferocious submission

Want, with claw, scraping demand
Steadily wresting control from my hands
Ripping veil, snaring thought
Forcing, shoving, my body taut
Causing wanton, wild, and restless overwhelming need to rend
Fight, molest, and wrestle down ‘til sweat and growl are sound and scent
Know that everything I’m bringing, feral creature I’ve become,
Is still a being you can conquer, let me see just how you’ve won.
Force me down upon my knees, keep me in my place.
Create an aching quivering mass as all of me that remains
To wait again for quiet voice, a casualty of heartening war,
To grasp, when I regain myself, that you contain the whole once more.

know

Abraded skin, bruises, welts
Behind a veil of clothing felt

Sealed beneath guise accepted
Tucked away to be protected

Loving aches with every bend
Each gifted wound I treasure tend

Once a mask I found so vile
With shift and fake now brings a smile

Raise a hand to hide the grin
That shows I've let my true self win

the marks

I had forgotten, but
Stroking the marks, I drift to dream
Stoking the fires of each vivid stroke
Though, for now, they’re banked
Each pass of fingers over welts
Causing coals to spark and glow
Resurrecting hum and moan
Though instruments be stored away
A touch on decorated flesh
These purpled lines burn life again
Like ashes for the phoenix
To who and what I’m meant to be
With remembrance, me

Clutch

Wrapped and grasping
Moves the heart
From chest to throat
With such an art
Containing each
Recurring beat
And with it, brims
A honeyed feat
Pounding candor,
Tinctured me.
Pulsed and waiting
Collar’s seat
